Candace Kuo is an Emmy Award Winning Senior Producer with versatile experience in hard news, feature programming and live events. Most recently, I oversaw the 8am hour of CBS Mornings (formerly CBS This Morning) in which I launched political, business and entertainment live interviews and tape pieces and supervised digital content for the hour.

I coordinated the special coverage of Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bringing the show to #1 for the first time on record. During my time at CBS News, I earned a 2021 Gracie Award for “Hard News Feature - Interview'' as well as an Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award for my work on the Peabody Award nominated CBS News Primetime Special “39 Days.”

Prior to CBS, I worked for 13 years at NBC as a six-time Emmy Award-Winning producer for “Today.” I have control room, editing, breaking news, field producing and shooting experience. I graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication. And yes…I was terrified when I sandboarded down this dune in Namibia.
